Coventry Banner
The Curious Creatives Club is partnering with The Herbert Gallery to deliver art workshops for the Coventry Banner Project in Tile Hill.
This is a legacy project of the Turner Prize at the Herbert Gallery.
The Turner Prize is an annual British visual art competition, celebrating artist groups who are using art as a tool for social transformation.
The 2021 winners we're the incredible Array Collective, a group of artists and activists from Belfast who displayed banners which reclaimed and questioned traditional identities associated with Northern Ireland.
Array Collective, the Turner Prize and the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum are inviting your to create your own banner (materials provided) which will be sewn together with others to form the collaborative "Coventry Banner" which will be exhibited in the gallery in 2022.
We encourage self-expression, passion, and, most importantly, fun to be had while making your banner! Let us hear your voice, what you stand up for, and what Coventry means to you.
